Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Development will work with the board of directors to increase revenue streams including planning and executing a development strategy, executing a strategic cause-related marketing plan, and forging new relationships to build the organization's visibility, impact and financial resources.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess entrepreneurial and strategic thinking skills, be driven and comfortable working in a startup operation with the flexibility to excel in a progressive environment; and possess a minimum of 3-5 years development experience; preferably with grassroots fundraising, grants writing, developing individual, private and major donors, and cause related marketing.

Therefore, the ideal candidate will be willing to delay full compensation in exchange for joining a dynamic start-up poised for major growth. -Upon successfully launching key development initiatives, a moderate stipend that will lead to full compensation will be negotiated, as funding becomes available. The candidate will also be able to telecommute with flexible work hours.
