About Volunteering at SFCI

Every week, hundreds of people experience an encounter with City Impact. None of those experiences would be able to take place without the efforts of the many volunteers who make up all the of the many outreaches of SFCI.

These outreaches form the working aspects of SFCI. Some work in the Food Bank, helping to feed those who are hungry with a smile. Some are on the Grocery Delivery team, helping deliver groceries door to door to those in need within the Tenderloin District. Each team has equally important responsibilities, and each team always could use more members.

Once you submit an online application to volunteer with us, you should receive an email shortly after regarding an on-site orientation. This orientation is designed to familiarize you with the operations and facilities of City Impact and to discuss what volunteering with us may potentially look like.
