Peer Court Mentor - Veterans Treatment Court
Purpose: The role of the Volunteer Veteran Mentor is to act as a coach, a guide, a role model, an advocate, and a support for the individuals he/she is working with. A mentor is intended to encourage, guide, and support the mentee as they progress through the Travis County Veterans Treatment Court process. This will include listening to the concerns of the Veteran and assisting the veteran in determining what their needs are. Female Veterans encouraged to apply!

Requirements:
Be a Veteran of one of the branches of the United States Military, including the Army, Marine Corp, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard or their corresponding Reserve or Guard branch
Must report number in Military Veteran Peer Networker and type of interactions to Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN) Peer Service Coordinator or Assistant Peer Service Coordinator
All volunteers must first attend MVPN basic training or must have been trained by MVPN in the last three years
