About Veteran's Legal Advice Clinic

Veterans Legal Advice Clinic – Attorney Volunteers Needed
Join us every second Friday of the month from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM to provide essential legal support to low-income Veterans. The Veterans Legal Advice Clinic offers volunteer attorneys the opportunity to assist Veterans with a range of civil and administrative legal issues. During the clinic, law students from St. Mary’s University gather background information and identify key legal concerns during the intake process. As a volunteer attorney, you’ll be paired with a Veteran and a student to provide legal counsel and assess whether extended representation is necessary. No veterans law or specialized experience required.
Please note that your representation concludes at the end of the clinic, though some clients may be referred to SALSA’s extended representation program for ongoing pro bono assistance. SALSA staff attorneys and experienced volunteer mentors are available for consultation on legal matters outside your typical practice area.
