About JP 1 Eviction Appeal Clinic

Every Thursday 8AM - 5PM, SALSA’s Housing and Homelessness Program Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist tenants with advising clients on the next steps in the eviction appeal process (SALSA will provide training!)

Volunteers are free to sign up for the morning or afternoon dockets, one docket, or for the entire day!

In most cases at the JP courthouse, clients are managing multiple crises, and the opportunity to speak with an attorney, who can explain the next steps in the process as well as talk through various options and resources for them and their families, can be the deciding factor of whether they will lose housing altogether and prevent them from experiencing homelessness.
