About Spring Into Action 5K Midway First Aid/Rally Group Volunteers

Each day we have the opportunity to be a hero to a child in need. We can all be “Everyday Heroes” when we work together as a community to keep our children safe. April is nationally recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month and we are bringing the national observance into our community with our 8th Annual Spring Into Action 5K Run and Family Fun Run!

The goal of this event is to raise awareness on the sensitive subject matter of child abuse as well as raise funds to provide direct services to children and their families that are beginning their journey to healing from the abuse/trauma.

We are seeking Volunteers to assist our 5K Runners at the midway point to hand out water. Volunteers will need to arrive at the designated 5K Midway Point at 8 am and remain until the last runner passes. Volunteers will be responsible for providing water to runners, keeping the area clean, and breaking down the area when the race is over.

The race will take place on April 1. The midpoint is at 950 Eshman Ave, West Point, MS 39773. It begins at 8 am.

We encourage Volunteers to dress in "Super Hero" attire. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation.
