About Saint Alphonsus Capitol Classic Children's Race

The sun is shining and the temperatures are rising which means it is almost time to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Saint Alphonsus Capitol Classic Children's Race. On Saturday, June 3, the 1-mile stretch between the Boise Train Depot and the Capitol Building will be ablaze with activity as 1,500 children participate in one of the largest kids-only races in the Northwest.

The Capitol Classic is for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 of ALL abilities. Volunteering at the Classic is a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday morning; in return you will receive a T-shirt and excellent memories! No experience is necessary. We hope you will join us as a volunteer!
