About PLAYREADING COMMITTEE

RPP has an entire group of people dedicated to reading plays, listening to musicals and checking other productions of shows on YouTube. Our group looks for shows our senior audience will enjoy, and our senior talent has the capacity to accomplish. It sounds easy but you need to find familiar shows with many parts, guaranteed to entertain, engage our community demographic. The committee first picks 20 to 30 titles, then splits up the reading so everyone has 4 to 5 shows to work on. Reviews and an applause rating are posted on our private play reading website. Then the fun begins. Which shows will we recommend to the Board? Is any show similar to something RPP produced in the recent past? Do we have the right talent to produce quality live entertainment? If you love to read and want to become involved in an exciting, creative project, this is the committee to join.
