A fundraising campaign for Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise

Please support the Father Simeon Liturgical Music Ministry at St. John's on the campus of Boise State University!      Your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $40,000 supporting this ministry for two additional years!

Thank you for supporting the Bronco Catholic’s mission to know Christ and to make Christ known on the campus of Boise State University. We meet our mission by inviting Catholic students, faculty and staff to a deeper discipleship and actively investing in all members of the BSU community; encouraging them to encounter Jesus through our retreats, liturgies, social events, and service programs.

·       Close to 700 students are registered as part of our Catholic community statewide and are actively involved in leading the Father Simeon Liturgical Music Ministry.

·       Hundreds of students attend Sunday Mass and participate in additional prayer experiences like adoration and morning/evening prayer regularly.

·       Each campus has reported an increase in student participation in the music ministry beyond music at Mass (retreats, adoration, other parishes, etc…)

·       Students are energized by the music and attend the social, community building events like Friday Fiestas, Friendsgiving which are a student led meals after Mass hospitality events and Soup-er Tuesday during the week.

·        Bronco Catholics, participate in retreats, bible studies, and are involved in discipleship with missionaries where music is a big part of the ministry both to bring them into the fold and to keep their interest high.

St. Paul’s depends on your support to continue the vital resource on campus. Participation has more than doubled in all of our programming. In the coming year, we hope to create a more robust level of service opportunities, as well as engage students who are “spiritual but not religious.”

About the Organization

Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise

Campus Ministry in the Diocese of Boise strives to help our campus communities to know Christ and to make Christ know on our campuses.
We do this by:
Creating CHRIST CENTERED COMMUNITIES that focus on welcoming, engaging, serving, and loving anyone we encounter, by providing social and community fellowship so that they come to know we care for them and wish them to belong
Offering CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP that develops leaders in the church and community through intellectual, spiritual, liturgical, moral, sacramental catechesis and mentoring.
Being a PROPHETIC VOICE that works for justice by engaging, serving, teaching and critiquing the culture through the lens of our rich Catholic teaching and living the corporal and spiritual works of mercy
