About Student Sleep Out

I am leading a large charity event and I wanted to reach out to you. I’m not sure if you are familiar with Covenant House, but it is an amazing foundation that not only houses homeless teens, but also gives them the opportunity to have an education and find jobs and local apartments to get onto their feet. I was fortunate enough to volunteer at Covenant House and I was overwhelmed with two feelings. First, admiration for these teens who are truly my peers who have such strength, bravery, and hope after facing abuse, abandonment, and so much sadness in their lives. Secondly, so much gratefulness for all the blessings I have in my life. One of them is my best friend Kyra. Together, Kyra and I have created Teens for Teens, a youth organization that plans to raise $10,000 for this most worthy cause, Covenant House.

Teens for Teens has secured Arm & Hammer Park, home of the Trenton Thunder, as our location for our Student Sleep Out. We will be attending a game on Friday, April 17th, 2015 and tickets for the game are $11. In order to use the facility, we must sell 500 tickets, and through this we will raise $2,000 for Covenant House. Following the game we will have a group of mostly middle school and high school students, in addition to adult chaperons, who will be sleeping out on the field for one night to get the smallest glimpse of what it’s like to be homeless.

We are very thankful to have this opportunity and would be endlessly grateful to have your support. I hope you and your family would like to join us at the game. I attached a flyer below with all of the details! Thank you so much!
