About Volunteer to drive

The simple act of getting someone where they need to go can be an incredibly rewarding experience. We rely on caring and compassionate volunteer drivers to provide valuable rides to the people in our community who need it most.

Time Commitment
We prefer that you are available to drive at least one hour per week. You can dictate your schedule and we will work around it. Our typical hours of operation are between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. A transportation coordinator will contact you weekly to make requests.

Location
You can choose where you would like to drive. Some people choose to drive in their own neighborhood while some volunteers are comfortable driving in all areas of the tri-county region.

Application Process

Each volunteer driver must:
Have had their driver’s license for 5 years or longer.
Pass a criminal background and DMV check.
Complete driver training courses (available in classroom or online).
