About Learning Center Volunteer

Volunteers are needed Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. You can be involved in a wide variety of ways. Working individually with students in a direct instruction capacity is an important function. Many of our students need special encouragement and support to maximize their academic potential. Volunteers often specialize in one discipline such as reading or science to improve student success.

Also helping students navigate the online resources that are available at our 14 computer stations is equally important. We review basic computer skills with all volunteers and provide training for the programs used most often by our students. Students often combine computer based instruction with traditional text to accomplish their educational goals.
