About 2017 Youth Champion

Relay for Life of Clay County is looking for a Youth Champion for the 2017 Clay County Relay for Life!

The main job of the Youth Champion is to retain and recruit volunteers that represent the entire community to help with youth engagement. The Youth Champion will also collaborate with the Event Lead and People Lead to plan and set goals for youth engagement, and be an expert on the Relay Recess, Relay Field Day, and Coaches vs. Cancer programs and materials/resources.

Furthermore, the Youth Champion will cultivate relationships with contacts in schools, sports groups, and other youth organizations; develop relationships with youth-based National Corporate Team partner teams; and leverage kickoffs, team meetings/rallies, fundraising workshops, Bank Nights, event days, and wrap-ups as youth engagement opportunities.

Finally, the Youth Champion will ensure that all other Leadership Team volunteers are considering youth engagement in their plans, as well as ensure that all youth engagement volunteers/contacts know how much they are appreciated.
