About Reading Partners Baltimore Virtual reading tutor—Help a child learn to read!

Become a volunteer tutor and make a lifelong impact on a child who struggles with reading! Reading Partners is a children's literacy nonprofit that mobilizes community volunteers to provide students with the one-on-one reading support they need to set them on a path to read at grade level.

Due to COVID-19 school closures, Reading Partners Baltimore is serving students online. Join us and tutor with Reading Partners Connects, our new online tutoring program that allows tutors to virtually deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions to students. No previous experience is required, as we provide an easy-to-follow curriculum and step-by-step lesson plans. Volunteers can tutor with just over an hour each week, no commute required! Our flexible tutoring schedule allows tutors to fit tutoring sessions into their busy lives.

All volunteers must complete two training sessions, a in-person background check, and agree to our tutor code of conduct before working with students.
