Air Potato Round-Up for National Public Lands Day
Hosted by: Ravine Gardens State Park
About Air Potato Round-Up for National Public Lands Day
Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate in an Air Potato Round-Up in conjunction with National Public Lands Day! National Public Lands Day is the largest single-day volunteer effort to improve public lands in the United States with properties all over the country getting involved to keep our public spaces healthy and beautiful for all to enjoy. Participants are invited to assist in removing invasive and non-native air potatoes and vines from the park so that together we can maintain our gardens’ natural beauty. Florida Conservation Corps' members will do a brief interpretive program about the air potato and will then assist volunteers in air potato removal.
Participants will receive a free one-day pass valid for entry to any Florida State Park.
Gloves, trash bags and tools will be provided. Please bring water, sunscreen, bug repellent and wear closed-toed shoes.
