About Race through the Redwoods

Race Thru the Redwoods is run entirely in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton, California. The race starts near the main picnic area and runs one mile on paved roads followed by scenic trails next to meadows and the San Lorenzo River. The moderate to challenging course then rises approximately 300 feet in elevation between mile 2.5 and mile 3.5. Return is on downhill paved road and dirt trails with the finish near the starting line. Water/aid stations, mile markers.

All participants will receive a t–shirt and a free Pancake Breakfast at the Felton Volunteer Fire Department located at Kirky off Hwy 9 in downtown Felton. Electronic timing results immediately after race are provided by the Santa Cruz Track Club. During the awards ceremony prizes will be drawn for those present!

Proceeds from the race go to the Felton Business Association, San Lorenzo Valley High’s cross country program, local charities and the Felton California State Parks.
