About “Camp Out to Stamp Out Homelessness"

In honor of National Homeless Awareness Month and celebration of Supportive Housing Communities’ (SHC) 10 year anniversary, SHC is hosting a “Camp Out to Stamp Out Homelessness” event at our neighborhood Cordelia Park (www.charmeck.org/mecklenburg/county/parkandrec/parks) at 2100 North Davidson Street - two blocks from our McCreesh Place apartment community.... AND at Myers Park Baptist Church,1900 Queens Rd, Charlotte, 28207 (www.mpbconline.org) . The Camp Out event will be from 6 pm until 12 noon on Saturday, November 2nd. Participants will collect pledges in advance and sleep out overnight. We are expecting between 100-300 people to support this event, which is designed to raise awareness for Supportive Housing Communities and our mission to provide affordable housing to alleviate homelessness and human suffering in our community.
