Program and Outreach Coordinator
Service Site: Building Twentyone
The VISTA will enhance youths' academic performance in STEAM. They will help provide oversight in B21's unique free drop-in facility which provides: homework assistance, a connection point with diverse friends and groups, and a positive environment free from bullying and the negative pressures faced each day. Responsibilities include funds development, marketing and outreach, implementing various programs and activities, and providing overall support in program sustainability.

Community Housing Specialist
Service Site: Eastside Community Action Center
The AmeriCorps VISTA member will help ensure that low income residents move from renting to home ownership. Neighborhood residents will receive educational, social, and emotional support they need to help them break the cycle of poverty from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program Housing Specialist. The VISTA Member will build the capacity of ECAC by developing a sustainable referral and resource housing system for our community residents.

Program Coordinator
Service Site: Edgewood Village Network Center
The VISTA member will work with the Edgewood Village Director, Board of Directors, Staff and Scholar Director to create and sustain organizational capacity to establish an educated and empowered culture in the Edgewood Village community and to motivate students and parents to be their best.

Cooperative Development and Engagement Coordinator
Service Site: MSU Student Housing Cooperative
The VISTA member will increase the quality of living, financial stability, and economic opportunities to Ingham County residents through cooperative housing and resource-sharing.

Financial Asset Navigator
Service Site: NorthWest Initiative
The VISTA member will be responsible for assisting with coordinating various regularly scheduled financial literacy workshops, with an additional focus on coordinating workshops within the Lansing Schools. Responsibilities include: volunteer recruitment and coordination, workshop coordination in the areas of financial literacy targeted towards various populations, as well as fundraiser coordination.

Financial Literacy Program Developer
Service Site: Refugee Development Center
The VISTA member will help ensure that Newcomer (refugee and immigrant) residents receive assistance to improve their financial literacy, improve their overall assets, support and enhance efforts to identify financial literacy resources and opportunities and implement financial training curricula, specifically for culturally diverse audiences, with partner organizations and institutions.

Members commit to serving full time (36-40 hours a week) from July 2016 through July 2017. AmeriCorps VISTA members each receive a living allowance, an education award or end-of-service stipend at the completion of the service term, and loan forbearance for qualified student loans. There is also a health care and a childcare option. Additionally, AmeriCorps members are eligible to apply for assistance through the health department.
