About Canvassing Coffee Shops

Canvass coffee shops for participation in an upcoming circular reuse cup program designed to displace single-use materials with stainless steel cups in a library-style system.

Will involve interacting with baristas, managers and owners, first to generate interest, then to explain how the program works and what the benefits to the shop are (no cost to the shop). Follow up until the assigned shops are either signed up or decline to participate.

The full cycle of different volunteer opportunities is:
1. Canvass coffee shops to sign up participants
2. Train baristas and ensure that signage is displayed
3. Tabling events on launch days to onboard consumers
4. Engaging with representatives from various shops to cross-pollinate what's working well, helping lagging shops to adopt best practices bubbling up from leading shops.

The program is a library-style system for take-away beverage orders. It is designed to displace single-use with reuse.
