Applicants must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to reproductive freedom and family planning services. Familiarity and proficiency with various programs is necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks and others assigned for the duration of the internship:
-Monitor and update Planned Parenthood’s presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
-Create and maintain a detailed record of affiliated social networking sites.
-Monitor and report on advancements in social media and research how they might be implemented to advance our presence on social networks
-Complete a project on a topic of her/his choosing that will benefit Planned Parenthoods social network presence
-Generate ideas for Planned parenthood to further its work in new media
-Provide general administrative support
This position may qualify for school credit. Intern positions are available in the State office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Travel will be reimbursed.
