Give2WV: Hardy County

Give Today to Grow Tomorrow: 24 Hour Giving Campaign for Hardy County's future

Building stronger communities for Hardy County is the main focus of the Give2WV: Hardy County Day on May 1, 2018.  The Hardy County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation, is committed to improving the quality of life in our county by connecting people who care with causes that matter to them most.  Give2WV: Hardy County provides people in the county and across the country/world who love Hardy County a 24 hour period to give to a fund or general causes to advance the community foundation's impact with a gift of any size.  Let's show the world how much we LOVE Hardy County and want to ensure a positive future for its citizens.  Your gift on Give2WV: Hardy County Day on May 1st can go to four great efforts in our county making a HUGE impact in a variety of community needs.   MAKE your gift directly to a HCCF Fund and/or two great nonprofits by clicking on the respective fund or nonprofit title below. 2018 Give2WV: Hardy County participants include:

Hardy County Community Impact Fund

The essence of an Impact Fund is appreciating that individuals living in a community are the people best equipped to make effective grant decisions. It is also realizing that those of us living now cannot predict the future needs of the community we love. The Hardy County Community Impact Fund is an opportunity to invest in these truths. Grants are made by the board of the Community Foundation to address pressing needs both now and in the future. Donors to this fund have provided a gift from one generation to the next -- the impact of which will never end.

Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College Entrepreneurial and Economic Development Fund

The Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College started the Institute of Rural Entrepreneurship and Economic Development to create, support and sustain an innovation-based economy.  Recognizing that entrepreneurship and small business are the cornerstone of economic development in Hardy County and the Potomac Highlands, this fund was established to help launch new initiatives aimed at expanding entrepreneurship.
