About Children’s Book Bank
Children can borrow and donate gently used books.
We need volunteers to help with:
We're recruiting volunteers to:
April 1, 2012 8:00pm
Sort and shelve gently-used books. Hours: Tuesdays 11 am to 2pm. Wednesdays: 11 am to 4 pm.
Assist teachers during Book Bank teacher hours. Hours: Wednesdays 2:30 - 5:30 pm
Pick up boxes of gently-used books at book drive sites in Philadelphia, and deliver to Book Bank at MLK High School. Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 11 am to 2 pm. Requires a valid drivers license and ability to lift boxes of books.

Record Children's Books on Tape
Want to express your dramatic voice and promote children's literacy?
We're recruiting volunteers to record children's picture books on tape. Each book and tape are shelved in the Book Bank and available for teachers -- free of charge -- for their classrooms. Volunteers are welcome to record these dramatic readings together! Children love hearing more than one voice on a tape as they follow along in the book.
