Ever been to a letter writing party? Well, at PFPO we have them every few months, so gather your friends and family and let's have a suicide prevention handwritten letter party. Pizza is always included. We write our letters blindly; I can't tell you anything other than the persons first name and age. I encourage everyone to write what you wish someone would've said to you to help you through a difficult time. Our letters are colorful, artistic, and most of all, encouraging and inspirational. They will be sent to one of our hundreds of families or individuals each week that receive handwritten letters from us; they are either a suicide survivor, have lost a loved one by the hand of suicide, or know someone that has. No special skill set required other than love! I hope you don't mind that we pray for the words to touch whomever will receive the letters. All letters are given to families or individuals that have asked to be in this program and we all sign NDA's.

Application Process

Please call us or send us an email if you would like to either join an upcoming letter writing party, or would like to have a private event with yourself and your friends and family. We can't wait to meet you.... this event will stay with you forever, we promise. What better way to have an amazing day than to come home to a hand written letter in the mailbox, full of love and bright colors, stickers, inspiration, and tape, from somewhere all over the world or to someone somewhere in the world. It's a beautiful thing and you will have a life-long pen-pal if you'd like one. Be the change! All ages welcome. Minors are generally matched with other youth around the same age for long-term letters to each other. We also encourage Girl Scouts/ Boy Scouts to sign up for an event and earn a badge or an honor with your troop.
