About Peter's Rock Summer Program

The After School Program WPR at Peter's Rock is in need of volunteers for its summer program. The summer program will run from June 1st through July 29th. We are expecting an exciting time with our students. We will have numerous activities where your brilliance and artistic ability can be utilized.

Students will be grouped into classrooms based on their ages and/or academic need.

We are in need of volunteers who can tutor in the core subjects as well as assist students with extracurricular activities.

Volunteering will take place at 221 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Starkville, MS 39759.

There are two shifts:
Shift 1: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Shift 2: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Application Process

Volunteers are required to complete a background check.

Volunteers must schedule a time with the volunteer coordinator to stop by the facility to pick up the background check information.

Volunteers must commit to at least a 2 hour shift.

Volunteers must show up at least 5 minutes before their shift begins.
