About Peer Advocate

Are you interested in helping families with special needs kids? Would you like to assist parents and youth throughout the year by doing the following:

• Helping individuals understand their youth and parental rights in obtaining education and healthcare;
• Helping youth and parents work within their local school district and community for services;
• Helping parents and youth understand how to advocate for themselves?

What is the commitment? All PLUK Peer Advocate volunteers agree to:

1. Attend an 8-hour training either: Wednesday, June 12 or Saturday, July 13, 8am-5pm, at PLUK or via VOOM.
