The Fox Trot 5K

This fun run is inspired by Daisy, our Red Fox ambassador! The race is considered moderately difficult with stretches in the field and woods, flat and hilly. Race registration will be capped at 115 runners. You can pre-register today, or right up until the night before race, to be sure to have a spot in the race, and to guarantee you get your size of t-shirt (until Sept. 4th)! To register just click the "Register" button above! New this year and in honor of the 5th Annual, wear your best fox attire for as chance to win the "Daisy Duplicate" award!

And if you are not a runner/walker, but want to participate in the race, you can still fundraise on behalf of the Cayuga Nature Center by clicking the "Start Fundraising" button above and creating your own personal fundraiser. All funds raised, including registration fees and donations, will go to the very diverse animal department. Thank you for your support!

Day of Race Registration will be from 8:00am-8:45am and the race will begin at 9:00am.

Kid's Fox Chase!

After the 5K trail run join us for the Kid's Fox Chase!

Starting after the race has finished -- about 10:30am -- kids (8 and under) will have the fun opportunity to chase our "fox" (Camp Director - Dayna Jorgenson) around the field!

Fall Festival!

Bring your family and friends to celebrate the autumnal season at the Fall Festival! Rain or shine, we will enjoy the fall foliage and the cooler weather. Enjoy educational tables, an Animal Feeding at noon (including a special appearance from Ace, our red-tailed hawk), a fall scavenger hunt, apple cider demonstrations, and much more!

Housing one of the longest running summer camps in the region, five miles of hiking trails, the six story Tree Tops Treehouse, exhibits delving into topics ranging from climate change to the forest ecology of the Cayuga Basin, and the beloved animal programs, Cayuga Nature Center does a lot-- with little. This year, when you are running or walking the grounds, listening to the cheers of supporters, enjoying the dappled light of Autumn- know that you have helped to support this treasure of the Finger Lakes- the Cayuga Nature Center.
