About Us

P.A.C.E. is a local non-profit (501c3) organization designed for young adults who were diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) and looking to create a support network with friends who face similar challenges in their daily lives. Our vision is to build a CHD community for young adults, a lasting support network. We address challenges that come from transitioning from a teenager/young adult to an adult with CHD. We hope to have fun as a group while upholding the values of maturity, independence, and leadership. We need funding to put our planned programs to work for Nevada’s young adult CHD community.

Annual retreat - A weekend event that will be a combination of fun, leadership development, communication skills, networking, and education with regard to functioning during the transition to independence.
Annual Conference for P.A.C.E. members, parents/guardians, and healthcare professionals. Provide information geared specifically for participant groups.
Monthly events to build a network of support.
Prepare young adult CHD patients to take on leadership and mentor roles in the lives of pediatric cardiac patients.
