About Volunteer at Oyster Mill

Oyster Mill Playhouse is a non-profit community theatre. Our members are all volunteers and they come from all walks of life. They donate their time to accomplish everything we do, both onstage and behind-the-scenes

If you are interested in theatre and want to participate or have recently retired and are looking for something creative, challenging and rewarding to do with your spare time, we hope you will become a volunteer and a member of the Oyster Mill Family.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO:
-Direct our productions, act in them and work backstage.
-Play in the band for our musicals and serve as musical director.
-Design scenery, stage lighting plots, costumes and sound effects.
-Construct and paint scenery, hang stage lights and build costumes.
-Run the Box Office, sell program ads and raise funds.
-Edit and publish our newsletter and programs.
-Prepare press releases and advertising copy.
-Maintain the playhouse, grounds and theater equipment.
