About Holiday Cooking Class


Elizabeth Speed, OPC instructor, is searching for a few volunteers to help with her Holiday Cooking Class on Monday, December 23 from 10AM-3PM.
There are 12 participants ranging from 8-13 years old.

This is a very unique opportunity for volunteers!


Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.

We're looking for volunteers who:

We need volunteers to help with:

Prep and Mentor

December 23, 2019 10:00am 1:00pm
This task is filled or completed
Shift 1
Shift 1 will be responsible for prepping equipment and ingredients for the class. You will have an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the tools and recipes then help students with measurements, knife skills and culinary techniques (boil, mash, simmer, whisk etc.)

Mentor and Complete

December 23, 2019 1:00pm 3:00pm
This task is filled or completed
Shift 2
Shift 2 will be responsible for picking up from where shift one ends and then help with basic clean up after the class—rinsing dishes and wiping down counters. Heavy lifting is not expected.
