From March 18 - April 24, Run Oxford will conduct its spring Mighty Milers session. There are 19 participants, ages 8-13. The sessions are Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30 at the Oxford Activity Center. We cover basic stretching and running exercises. We will run along the Depot Trail adjacent to the Activity Center. We are looking for two to three volunteers each session (12 total sessions over 6 weeks). If you can run, that is a great bonus, but it is not necessary. One task will be making sure the students safely cross the street.
For measurement purposes, we want to track their development throughout the spring.
To train volunteers we have a series of short (less than 7 minute) training videos that show you what that week's lesson is.
