Young Adult Counselor Requirements for HS & MS Academy Ambassadors Program
The Academy Ambassadors program consists of student representatives from all seven of the Jackson Public Schools High Schools who meet every week to engage in intensive training and discussion around important issues that directly affect their daily lives. Operation Shoestring is looking for young adults who can best assist with the development of our students:
• Must be between the ages of 20 and 25
• Must be attending or have graduated a college or university
• Have demonstrated a commitment for leadership and leadership development
• Are extremely motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable to new cultures and situations
• Interested in building solid relationships with middle and high school students
• Must be physically capable to carry multiple items
• Be willing to commit to High School Retreat (November 3rd-6th )
• Be willing to attend mandatory training
• Can provide creative dynamic and be willing to share
• Must pass background check
