About Volunteer with Openhouse

Volunteers are the backbone of the Openhouse. Volunteers ensure we’re able to meet our mission to serve our growing community of LGBT seniors as they age in the city they’ve always called home. Here are just a few of the many opportunities to volunteer with Openhouse:
--Become a “Friendly Visitor”.
--Assist us with outreach by distributing flyers about Openhouse activities, services, programs, and events for LGBT older adults in aging-friendly spaces around the city.
--Become a community leader to work with LGBT older adults in your neighborhood.
--Advocate with public officials for funding, housing and services.
--Support Openhouse activities and events by giving a hand during and after an event.

Openhouse will give you all the training and support you need to be an active, satisfied volunteer.
