OnTrack Washington County, Inc. is the backbone organization for a collective impact, cradle to career initiative made up of approximately 40 cross-sector community stakeholders who are actively and collaboratively working to 1) enhance early childhood education; 2) increase school aged youth educational outcomes; and 3) prepare our students and workforce for the jobs of the 21st century.
OnTrack exists because the educational and workforce issues facing Washington County are complex and no one organization can solve them. We exist because these issues require urgent and immediate action. For example, it is predicted that by 2025, 60% of Americans will need at least a 2 year post-secondary education or other career credential to meet the demand for high skilled labor. In Washington County approximately 29% of our citizens meet this educational attainment level. That means over the next six years, we must more than double our educational attainments levels.
