About Help High School Students Succeed!

Promise Scholars is looking for enthusiastic college students interested in pursuing a career in teaching or counseling to provide college information to high school students at Chaffey, Ontario, and Montclair High Schools.

Volunteers will:
-Volunteer 4 hours on Saturday mornings
-Implement college and career promoting curriculum at Promise Scholars Success Centers
-Provide one-on-one assistance with FAFSA, California Dream Act, and scholarship completion with 9th - 12th grade students
-May lead a group of 2 - 5 students in a career promoting activity

Volunteers will gain:
-Community awareness
-Classroom management skills
-Increased knowledge about college financial aid.

Volunteer opportunities will be available most Saturdays in September - December at each of the following high schools: Ontario, Montclair, and Chaffey High Schools.

Volunteers also must attend a one-hour training prior to volunteering. Exact time and location of training TBD.
