About Substitute Coaching

Substitute coaching is a great way to get involved with our scholars if you cannot commit to working with one or two scholars for the entire academic year. Substitute coaches attend as many or as few Scholar Development Sessions as they like and work with scholars whose coaches are absent on critical career milestones and program objectives, such as resume, cover letter, or goals work.

Substitute coaching can take place at any of our 10 partner community colleges (all 7 in Chicago and 3 suburban locations)

Application Process

First, out the application at www.onemilliondegrees.org/coach. Coaches are required to attend an info session over the phone, and one in-person training session.
