You can make a difference, simply, easily, and make a lasting difference in another persons life. It's so simple. And you can do it in a couple of hours a month.
One Good Deed volunteers have shopped for thousands of pounds of groceries, read mail, newspapers and bible to our visually impaired friends, gone to lunch, high tea, and concerts with our care recipients, picked up supplies, delivered dinner, mowed grass, flipped mattresses, planted flowers, played cards, scrabble, taught someone to email their grandchild, changed lightbulbs, walked dogs, shopped for size 4 shoes, re-wrote phone books, cleaned out closets, garages and basements, listened to old stories hundreds of times, AND made lasting friendships along the way.
This opportunity is an ongoing volunteer match made with an older adult and he volunteer . This bond will provide both the volunteer and the older adult with a valuable and rewarding friendship! Matches are made carefully and with great attention to location, likes, dislikes and general interests. The volunteer and the older adult will set up a schedule in which the volunteer will visit 2 times a month doing One Good Deed at a time!
