The Oktibbeha County Humane Society (OCHS) is a nonprofit organization supported through the contributions of generous individuals and the local United Way. Our mission is to promote domestic animal welfare.
OCHS is based on the belief that the community has the responsibility to treat animals humanely. Its goals include providing humane education; promoting animal welfare legislation; advocating and facilitating pet sterilization; and rescuing, sheltering, and promoting adoption of abandoned animals.
Our volunteers provide food and medical care for unwanted, abused and neglected animals. We place animals into humane environments. The Society promotes awareness of the need to spay/neuter animals to eliminate pet over-population. We offer educational programs and other services designed to create a more responsible and humane world.
