About Buffalo Bench Project

Buffalo Benches project is part of the UB class Small Built Works. The goal of the studio is to provide 16+ benches to the Old First Ward community of Buffalo, NY. This is a small community of blue collar workers, with many families that have lived there for generations. The projects goal is to create community installations to invigorate the current public and community setting and promote further economic development.

This studio works on donations from the community and interested people. The donations to sponsor the project will give each student the opportunity to learn about fabrication and build a artfully crafted, sturdy bench. More donations helps provide higher quality material, and the chance to create more public benches.

Help us invigorate this rich community by donating, visiting our public events, sharing our page and website, and creating buzz for our project!

Family-Friendly

Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
