About Global Festival 2019
The Global Festival is back on Sunday, November 10th at the MSU Union from 12-5p.m.
We are looking for volunteers to work on three different days: first to help set up and prepare the event spaces on Friday the 8th, and to finish the set up and help the event run on Sunday the 10th. Current volunteer times are subject to change.
We need volunteers to help set up the World Gift Shop (which raises funds for international student scholarships), assist in running performance rehearsals for the talent show, and prepare the Union space for the Festival on Friday and Sunday morning.
Then we will need help staffing welcome tables, handing out programs, greeting and directing visitors and more, so read through the options, and sign-up!

Application Process
There is no application process -- only a willingness to help and appreciation of other cultures! We will give you a brief training/orientation upon your arrival to the MSU Union for your shift.
There will be a volunteer check-in station on the second floor of the MSU Union outside the ballroom the day of the event.

We need volunteers to help with:
Friday - 11/8/19 - Gift Shop Help at the Union - 11am-2pm
These volunteers will help unload and unpack boxes of merchandise for the World Gift Shop. Once the merchandise is unloaded, we need to organize and arrange the goods for the shop! This will include working with the CVIP volunteers to help get the Gift Shop ready for shoppers.
If you can only help for a portion of this time, that is okay! Just email Madison to let us know when you'll be there crosser4@msu.edu.
Volunteers will report for this shift to the 3rd floor of the Union.
Sunday - 11/10/19 - Exhibit Set-Up - 9am-10:30am
You will be helping to set up our exhibit tables, carry metal display boards and chairs, and also direct traffic for student groups trying to find their exhibits.
There will be a volunteer check in station on the second floor of the MSU Union outside the ballroom the day of the event.
Sunday - 11/10/19 - Exhibit Check-In - 10:30am-1pm
Volunteers will help cultural groups check in, locate their booth, and answer questions about set-up.

Sunday - 11/10/19 - World Gift Shop Helpers - 11:45am-1:45pm
Volunteers will help in the World Gift Shop with checkout, encouraging donations, and other duties as needed.

Sunday - 11/10/19 - Craft Helpers - 12pm-2:30pm
Volunteers will help with the UAB Craft activity -- inviting attendees into the space, assisting with craft making, and clean up as needed.
