About Heartwarming Volunteer Program needs a New Logo!
Books for Wider Horizons (BWH), a project of the Oakland Public Library, is a program that recruits, trains, and places volunteer story readers in preschools throughout the City of Oakland. This innovative program relies on 60 dedicated volunteers who read stories at 33 sites throughout Oakland, providing 71 storytimes and serving more than 1,300 children every week!
As BWH celebrates 20 years this fall, we'd like to update our logo so that it reflects the first-rate program we have become.
