About Oak Park YMCA Child Care Volunteer

YMCA Child Care Center is a full day child care center for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years.

Volunteers will assist regular classroom teachers through all aspects of a child care center day. They will interact with children in a positive way, expanding upon their play and responding to their questions, needs and concerns. Volunteers may be asked to assist with clean-up, set-up and regular routine type tasks. Interested volunteers can assist staff in swimming lessons for children in the YMCA pool.

We also seek volunteers who are interested in conducting 15-20 minute Spanish language lessons/activities for 3-4 year old students.
