About "Canoe Days" Help
The Friends of Noxubee Refuge host Canoe Days at Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge each month during the warm season. Canoe Days are an opportunity for the public to explore Bluff Lake and its wildlife by getting in a canoe and paddling. The Friends of Noxubee Refuge provide canoes, life jackets, and paddles free of charge between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Canoe Day is run completely by volunteers, the refuge is seeking additional volunteers who are willing to loading and unloading canoes, greet visitors, help visitors launch canoes, and give canoeing advice to first time canoe users. A member of the Friends of Noxubee Refuge will lead the Canoe Day activities.
