About 2019 Canoe Days! Help needed! Every third Saturday, April-October

Help our Friends of Noxubee Refuge run the canoe station at our monthly canoe day, every third Saturday from April-October! We need volunteers willing to lift and carry canoes, fit visitors with properly sized life vests and paddles, as well as help get visitors in and out of their canoes on the water. Volunteers are encouraged to work in 2 hour shifts, starting at 8:30 and ending at about 3:30. Volunteers are able to get out on and enjoy the water around their scheduled volunteer shift.

Application Process

If interested in volunteering or getting a group to help volunteer for any canoe day, please reach out to taylor_hackemack@fws.gov to get scheduled! Or call the office at 662/323-5548. All volunteers must have on file a signed volunteer services agreement that can be completed on site the day of service.
