About American Diabetes Association - Tour De Cure

The NWA MLK Jr. Council will be volunteering at the Start/Finish line for the race on Saturday, October 5th. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and noise makers to help us cheer on the riders/walkers as they cross the finish line to fight diabetes. The race is at Arvest Ball Park.

Parking
On Friday, volunteers may park anywhere within the Arvest Ballpark parking lot. On Saturday, please enter the parking lot from 56th street, not Watkins. We ask that you park your vehicles on the south side of the ballpark. Please note that we have VIP parking on the north side of the lot notated by cones and balloons.

Check-in
Saturday Volunteers: When you arrive at the Arvest Ballpark, you may enter through the south entrance. Upon entering, go to the volunteer check-in table just inside the gates to the right. You will see this listed as #4 on the map provided. Once checked-in, we will show you to your assigned location. If you are doing multiple shifts, you must go check-in before your second shift.

All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt and goody bag upon check-in.

Volunteer Waiver
Everyone must complete and sign the volunteer waiver. Please make sure you complete and turn in during check-in before you start your shift.

Dress Code
Along with your MLK shirt, we suggest wearing jeans or athletic wear with comfortable shoes.

Food/Beverage
We will provide breakfast and lunch along with plenty of snacks and drinks during all shifts. Breakfast will be available near the volunteer check-in area (#9), and lunch will be at the Bullpen Café (#8).

Red Riders/Striders
Red Riders/Striders are participants that have diabetes. Help us celebrate these individuals by shouting “Go Red Rider!” when you see a red jersey with a red bib or a Red Strider ball cap.
