About Early Learning Programs

Treasure House is a child-centered program whose practices are rooted in sound child development theories. The center follows teaching guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Fundamental to good teaching practices for young children is the knowledge that they are active learners who learn best through hands-on sensory experiences. At Treasure House, the staff prepares the environment so that materials are accessible to the children, allowing them to choose from an array of interesting possibilities. There is a balance of child initiated and teacher directed activities that foster development in all areas - social, emotional, physical and cognitive. By way of developmentally appropriate programming, Treasure House Child Development Centers hope to instill in children a confidence in their abilities along with enthusiasm for learning that will help prepare them for the world ahead.
