About Olney Community Collaborative

N5SRP initiated the Olney Community Collaborative in 2010 because it acknowledges that our comprehensive revitalization program must engage community members and create a forum for cross cultural dialogue.

The Collaborative organizes unique and affordable workshops, cultural events, performances, and classes in locations throughout the Olney community. Furthermore, OCC serves as an important interface between business owners and residents by bringing more residents to the 5th Street area .

In March, 2010 The Olney Cultural Collaborative received a Creative Economy Grant from the City of Philadelphia and will be using these funds to renovate the N5SRP office space so that it can accommodate community programs such as art displays, foreign language classes, and discussion groups. We hope that our newly renovated office space will become a "community hub" on 5th Street.
