About Social Media Ninja

The National Blind Massage Therapists Foundation d/b/a I-AM Massage Therapy and Skin Care Clinic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to improve occupational training and employment opportunities in the wellness field for blind and visually impaired young adults as licensed massage therapists.
We are seeking four 2013 Fall/ Winter and 2014 Winter/Spring Semester interns. Recent college graduates, military veterans and retirees are also welcomed and encouraged to apply.
HOURS: This is a part-time internship of approximately 20 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates who can offer a one-year commitment (instead of a semester-long commitment). Evening, weekend hours OK. Telecommute Possible.
BENEFITS: Friendly, motivated and inspiring work environment. This internship also offers excellent resume-building and networking opportunities for college students, recent grads and early-career professionals. Students are welcome to advise us of any documentation or mentorship activities required by a university.
Social Media has quickly become the way we connect to each other and the brands we care about. Because we're a brand who cares about our community it's important for us to respect and enrich that connection. This internship will be all about engaging our existing fans and creating lasting relationships with new ones on our social media channels.
You'll have to come up with creative and powerful ways to make new connections and to make our existing connections stronger.
Responsibilities:
Draft content for our social media channels. Engage with our users to offer a more personal experience. Help moderate our online community. Dream big and help on the creative side of content development. Create and update monthly reports on what's happening on our social media channels. Grow our fans, followers, likes, subscribers and stalkers.

Current college student (Freshman to Senior) Incredibly creative with the ability to pivot.
Strong communication skills: grammar is a must, you've also got to be succinct and effective in the space of 140 characters.
Multi-tasker, self-motivated, ability to work well alone or with others
Passionate about changing the world and committed to social change. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, MS Office
