NAMI Upper Valley, Idaho members educate the community by providing information about current issues, participating in Health Fairs, staffing information booths and distributing brochures. NAMI promotes Advocacy, Education and Support for people with mental illness and their loved ones. Our support group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:00 pm at the Development Workshop, 555 W. 25th Street in Idaho Falls. Our Connection Recovery Support Group meets every Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the Center for HOPE, 1501 Northgate Mile in Idaho Falls. NAMI Education programs ensure hundreds of thousands of families, individuals and educators get the support and information they need. NAMI Upper Valley Idaho teach Family to Family, a free, nationally developed course. In the Spring we teach the course in Idaho Falls and Blackfoot and in the Fall we teach in Idaho Falls and Rexburg. This course meets twice weekly for 6 weeks and the classes are taught by members who have received training from national NAMI.
