About Serviceworks




If you are someone who is committed to helping young people in the Los Angeles communities, then Serveworks wants your help and contribution! Serviceworks is a skill-building program for youth in the South Los Angeles area. The goal for Serviceworks is to develop and prepare young adults for higher education. Serviceworks plans to accomplish this through a 10-week program by offering training in leadership and workplace skills, the opportunity for participants to build and grow their networks and connect to their communities, guidance through the college process, and the opportunity to unleash their new skills by participating and leading volunteer service projects.

Please note some details below:
-Must be 18+ years old to apply
-Responsibilities include:
-Commit to serving throughout the duration of an entire cohort
-Attend in-person training
-Ensure that each Service Scholar has completed expected outcomes before the end of program
-Communicate with assigned VISTA at key milestones as work with service scholars progresses
- Complete necessary reporting: 1) Session Trucker after each session 2)End program/cohort survey
