About PUENTE and TARGET Are Building A Playground!

Volunteers from PUENTE Learning Center and Target are building a state of the art new playground! The project is in partnership with KaBOOM!, the national nonprofit dedicated to giving kids the childhood they deserve by bringing play to those who need it most, and generously funded by TARGET. The playground will be built in ONE DAY with the help of 200 volunteers!

Date: Friday, February 24, 2017
Time: 8:30 AM-2:30 PM
Location: 501 South Boyle Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90033

No special skills necessary, all abilities needed and accommodated!

Must be at least 18 years of age to build.
Must be able to work from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Food, drinks and snacks will be provided.
Build Day is rain or shine.

Additional Requirements:
• ALL volunteers must bring a signed Puente Waiver (found in the documents section of GiveGab)
• Dress Code: Casual attire (clothes that you are okay with getting dirty) and closed-toe shoes. NO BRANDED CLOTHING, LARGE LOGOS, OR MSMU APPAREL
• Prohibited attire: tank tops, sleeveless shirts, sandals, open-toed or high-heeled shoes, branded clothing, large logos

Transportation will be provided from both campuses! Shuttles will depart from Doheny at 7:30a.m. (meet at the Shuttle Stop) and from Chalon at 6:15a.m. (meet in the Circle).

If you would like shuttle transportation to and from the event, please complete the survey emailed to you upon registration.

If you choose to take your own transportation to the Puente Learning Center, please be advised that there is no parking available for volunteers. The Center advises using UBER/ LIFT.
